EDUCATION IN VALUES (AUSTRALIA)

Australian educators are part of an organisation called living values, which is supported by UNESCO, their aim is to get together educators, parents and institutions to work for an education that teaches about peace and respect for everybody. This are values that are common for all the world.


The people from this organisation know that children can learn values and behave in a way that reflects those values in a natural way, if the context they live in is adequate. People who had the opportunity to work within the premises of this organisation are very thankful, because they have seen changes in the way their children behave.


Besides parents now know how to treat their children respectfully, and children are happy doing their homework, there is peace at their homes and everybody is happier. The values that now are found at their houses are those of harmony, peace, unity and love.


Some people think that their methods are the best, but this may differ from family to family. While some parents think that the most important thing is communication and calmness at home, some may prefer that their children respect their decisions. These are parents that were educated that way, being yelled at and punished for any wrong thing that they did.


To sum up , It is important that parents understand that they have to teach their children values like peace and respect. If some parent’s don’t know how to teach this to their kids, they can learn from organisations as Living Values. This is not an easy thing to do. To change their minds, they must listen and start working to change the way the relate at home.
